Sky Tower

The Sky Tower is my most favorite place for watching sundown and having a drink at Tirana, Albania. It is a skyscraper at the city quarter Blloku and located close to the Rinia park and the river Lana. You can easily find it as it has a rotating restaurant on top that turns 360 degrees within an hour. If you want to dine there you should reserve in advance, but there is also a reservation-free bar on the top level.

Burger House

It is just an ordinary burger restaurant at Tiranas nightlife zone Blloku: Goody’s Burger House – but it is a very easy way to stop your hunger and it can be found without any problem at the entrance of the city quarter when you follow the road Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit from the city center to the south.

Fährmann

South of Kassel at a town called Fuldabrück, Germany you can find a nice restaurant next to river Fulda – the Fährmann (ferryman). Since the summer of 2018 it has new owners and a new fresh concept, therefore it was time for a visit. They have a guest room on two levels, a wonderful outdoor terrace and in summer they also serve the cyclists and hikers passing by along the river from a bar (called ‘Fullebude‘) outside. It’s now a very modern yet cozy place and worth a visit.

The Mercato Metropolitano is a wonderful food court at Elephant & Castle, London. You can sit inside or outside and get drinks and food from numerous small shops. From burgers via Spätzle and burritos to gyoza. Everything that your heart might desire – and as a surplus they claim to be sustainable.

Marivos

If you’re bored by the standard junk food of the big burger chains you might give the Marivos Burger-Lounge at Kassel, Germany a try. It is located inside an old gas station from the 1950s at the Kohlenstraße near Bahnhof Wilhelmshöhe. Two brothers and a friend opened the burger restaurant because they knew from bigger cities that buns, patties and fries can be much better when they are home-made.

Burgernah

The Burgernah at the city quarter Linden-Nord of Hannover, Germany is a vegan burger restaurant with a very nice style and atmosphere. It is located at the Offensteinstraße, has limited seats and is neither a fast-food restaurant nor a high-class restaurant – it is rather a superior quality eatery.
