It should never happen but it happens more often than you think: you drive your car and then you hit another car. This often happens when you park your car in a narrow car park or want to leave a parking space. In different countries there are different rules how to continue. Café del Sol
It is a coffee bar and restaurant chain I always had ignored in the past: the Cafe Del Sol. They offer good breakfast, typical drinks and nice food. The restaurant architecture follows the design of southern US-American ranches. And they are always placed near motorways – that is why a passionate user of public transport like me never got close to them.

80 years later
The 9th of November is an important day for Germans (often referred to as ‘Schicksalstag der Deutschen‘) as many things in younger history happened on this day (including the opening of the Berlin Wall as the last important event in 1989). In 2018 there are two important anniversaries: 100 years earlier World War I ended and there are many festivities concerning this. But it is also 80 years since the Novemberpogrome when synagogues were destroyed throughout Germany and Holocaust started. Continue reading “80 years later”
Niemetal
The Nieme is a 16 kilometers long river starting in the Bramwald near Varlosen and running into river Weser near Bursfelde, Hann. Münden, Germany. It then runs through a wonderful valley and sometimes cuts deep into the landscape. At its end the section has been changed by humans multiple times and has now been brought back to its natural look.
