Hann. Münden, Germany was once the most southern port of the kingdom of Hanover. The port area was and is located in the north of the city, along the Weser – directly opposite of the Weserstein. Forest & botanical garden
Until the year 1970 the small town of Hann. Münden, Germany was hosting the faculty of forestry of the “Georg-August-Universität” in nearby Göttingen. As a side effect from 1868 on a botanical garden and an arboretum were created close to the city center and opened in 1870. 100 years later it was moved to Göttingen-Weende (at the “Faßberg“). Breakfast service
Going to church on a sunday morning was never so pleasant than in Hann. Münden, Germany. That is because of a church close to the city center that has been transformed into a coffee bar where you can have a nice breakfast or a piece of cake. It’s quite a strange feeling to dine on an old altar, but this place has its own very special atmosphere.
Converted gothic church
The church of St. Blasius is located on the central place of Hann. Münden, Germany. It is a gothic style church with a nice tower where once warders kept watch to protect the city. Herz über Kopf
Shops come and go in the inner city center of Hann. Münden, Germany. The town is mostly frequented by day tourists during summertime and that is why some shops within the side streets have to fight to survive. Schlaf schön
One of the more remote hotels in Hann. Münden, Germany – the hotel “Schlaf schön” (“sleep well“) is located next to the tavern “Letzter Heller” at the river “Werra“; four kilometers away from the city.
