Modern towers

St. Martin, Kassel

The Martinskirche or St. Martin in Kassel, Germany is an iconic Protestant church. Its two modern towers attached to an old church in Gothic style can be seen from many parts of the city. Construction works started in 1364 and the church was opened in 1462. Since 1524 it is a Protestant church.

Markthalle, Kassel

If you’re looking for a farmer’s market in the center of Kassel, Germany the Markthalle is the right choice for you. It is located in the former Marstall from 1591 – an ancient horse stable. On saturdays you can find an outdoor market in front of it and inside you can buy from different shops on two levels.

The Wald- und Abenteuerspielplatz Kattenbühl is a playground in the forest close to Hann. Münden, Germany – near the road exiting the city quarter Kattenbühl and going to Laubach. Franks Piraterie, Dransfeld

The restaurant “Franks Piraterie” is one of these places I normally wouldn’t go to. It is part of the camping area in Dransfeld, Germany not far away from the outdoor swimming pool of the city. Finest burgers

Louis Finest Burgers, Hannover

I just stumbled open this location not far from the main railway station of Hannover, Germany while doing some shopping. The Louis was opened in 2016 and offers good quality burgers and steaks. The castle in Schwetzingen, Germany is a wonderful destination for a day trip. It was a summer residence of the electors of Palatine and it is especially famous for the castle gardens created in the 18th century. The first note about the castle dates back to the year 1350. Oriental flair

Mosque, Schwetzingen

If you walk through the gardens of the castle of Schwetzingen, Germany you might be surprised to see a mosque standing there. Until 1785 a Turkish garden has been created with the so called Red Mosque within. It was just build for decorative reasons and was never intended for religious services.
