Alte Nationalgalerie, Berlin

The Alte Nationalgalerie (Old national gallery) is part of the museum island in the heart of Berlin, Germany. It has been constructed in 1867 and houses works of the Impressionism, Neoclassicism, Romanticism and of the Biedermeier period. During World War II the building was bombed and it is unclear, which works were destroyed or taken to the Sovjet union as looted art.

Expedition to Ethiopia & Eritrea

Restaurant "Abessina", Göttingen

During the last years a lot of bars were coming and going in the Ritterplan. The street is simply a less crowded street without direct access to the pedestrian zone. People don’t come here by accident. But now there is a restaurant that is here to stay: the Abessina, serving food from Ethiopia and Eritrea and thereby closing a gap within the already broad variety of restaurants in Göttingen.

Westfalenstadion

Westfalenstadion, Dortmund

The Westfalenstadion (nowadays called “Signal Iduna Park”) is a soccer stadium in Dortmund, Germany and home to the Ballsportverein Borussia (BVB). It has been built in 1974 and has space for 80.000 supporters. Special feature is the “yellow wall” on the south side, huge stands for the frenetic supporters of BVB, forming an impressive background.

Niedersachsenstadion

Niedersachsenstadion, Hannover

The Niedersachsenstadion (Stadium of Lower Saxony, also called HDI-Arena or AWD-Arena after current or previous sponsors) is the home stadium of the soccer club Hannover 96 and sometimes also used for other events like concerts. It has been built in 1954 and has 49.000 seats. It was part of the 1974 FIFA World Cup, 1988 European Championship and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
