The Museo y Monumento Memorial Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara is a monument, museum and mausoleum commemorating the life of Ernesto Guevara and is located at the Plaza de la Revolución in Santa Clara, Cuba. It consists of a six meters high statue, a museum collecting items from the life of Che, the graves of several fighters from the Cuban revolution and an eternal flame.

The Galleria degli Uffizi is a world-famous art museum in Firenze, Italy. It was built from 1559 on as an office (therefore the name) for the public administration. The Mauritshuis is an art museum located in the center of Den Haag, The Netherlands. It has been built from 1633 on as a nobility palace at a lake in the center of the city and serves as a museum from 1822 on. Dortmunder U
The Dortmunder U in Dortmund, Germany is a skyscraper used as a cultural center. It was built until 1927 as a cellar for the Dortmunder Union Brauerei. In 1994 the brewery moved out and the building was later bought by the city. Continue reading “Dortmunder U”

Impression soleil levant
I consider the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, France a hidden pearl. I love French Impressionism but I never heard about it. It is located a bit remote close to the Bois du Bologne and was opened in 1934 in the villa of the Marmottan family.

The Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris, France is a wonderful museum for impressionist art close to the river Seine. You’ll find it in the Jardins des Tuileries close to the Place de la Concorde. Musée Rodin
The Musée Rodin is one of my favorite art museums in Paris, France. It displays the works of Auguste Rodin and dates back to 1919. You can find important works like the Penseur (the thinker), Les Bourgeois de Calais or the gate to hell here.
