During the last years I’ve not visited Potis that often, because it is quite remote for people used to the short distances in Göttingen – but I recently found out that this was a wrong decision. You can find the Greek restaurant at the upper part of Kreuzbergring in the east of Göttingen.
Beautiful views
The street adress tells everything: Schöne Aussicht, beautiful views. The bar Bolero is situated between the city center of Kassel and the Karlsaue park (directly next to the New Gallery of Art) and there you can enjoy a beer (especially: Astra from Hamburg, Germany), some cocktails or – what seems to be a specialty: good burgers.
Reward yourself
Named after the god of the sea in Greek mythology, the restaurant Poseidon is part of the Badeparadies in Göttingen, Germany – but it also accessible without getting your swimming trunks on. Before this pool and sauna has been opened at the Eiswiese in 1998, the restaurant was already part of the old public indoor swimming pool in the city center (close to the Leinekanal).
The White Pergola
If you’re at the shore of Israel, you definitly need to taste some seafood. A very good place for this is the old harbour of Tel Aviv-Yafo. It has been transformed into an area with lots of restaurants and is very vivid in the evening hours. A nice restaurant is The White Pergola (Hasuka Halevana) at the old port basin.

When you walk through the wonderful neighborhood of the Marais – maybe from Place de la Bastille, crossing Place des Vosges (always worth a detour), you will find a lot of good restaurants of various kinds. I myself normally don’t go to classy restaurants while travelling; it costs me simply to much time. A good alternative in the Marais is Chez Marianne, a nice small restaurant in a sidestreet. You can sit outside and if it is too crowded – they also got a comptoir for food to take away.

During the last years a lot of bars were coming and going in the Ritterplan. The street is simply a less crowded street without direct access to the pedestrian zone. People don’t come here by accident. But now there is a restaurant that is here to stay: the Abessina, serving food from Ethiopia and Eritrea and thereby closing a gap within the already broad variety of restaurants in Göttingen.

If you’re looking for a good greek restaurant in Hannover, Germany, you might take a look at the “Aresto” close to the river Leine and the parliament of Lower Saxony. They serve good gyros, souvlaki, fish and lamb, you can sit outside and the place is reachable on foot from the railway station. The menu list is not extensive but the quality is really good.

If you’re about to try original bosnian dishes and in need of a more quit place, try Restoran “Pod Lipom” in Sarajevos old osman district. Set aside in a tiny street of Baščaršija the traditional Ćevapi are great and the meat balls included in Sarajevski sahan are definitly worth a detour.

If you’re looking for a good breakfast in Stuttgart, Germany you can end your search. The Hüftengold – a very euphemistic German translation of fat – is a restaurant and coffee bar that is a real recommendation. In addition to real calory bombs they also serve healthy breakfasts.

The “Zur Kiste” is the oldest wine bar in Stuttgart and lives up to it’s name: A tiny place for maybe 15-20 persons, only one room, but a great atmosphere. Additional to white and red wine from different vineyards of the region you can get Swabian meals like Spätzle, Fleischküchle (meat loafs) or Maultaschen (filled pasta squares).
