Two blocks away from the railway station (down the hill) and one block away from Terazije square (up the hill) in a quiet side street you’ll find Hotel Prag. It is nice and good quality hotel in bohemian style.
Pousada Naturalia
When you arrive on Ilha Grande, in Vila do Abraão (belonging to Angra dos Reis, on the mainland) you first recognize that there are no paved roads and no cars. You walk through the sand and are happy, that there is someone transporting your luggage on a pull-cart. At the east-end of the village you leave the beach and after taking a small and short footpath up the hill you reach the Pousada Naturalia.

The Pousada Corsario in Paraty is like a gated community of small houses next to the river and not far away from the historic city center. The houses are simpel but I really enjoyed lying in my hammock in front of the room. At the time I’ve been in Paraty, there where not many guests and it was a quiet and pleasant stay.

When arriving in São Sebastião, belonging to São Paulo, I was in trouble finding my hotel, the Ilha de Toque Toque boutique hotel. As the name suggests, it might be on an island (ilha). I entered the street adress into my navigation system and was led to a strange place within São Sebastião.

The double doors at the rooms give you the feeling to sleep safe and sound within a bank.

Looking for a hotel in Gdańsk, Poland close to the city center? On an island between the old (stara) and new (nowa) arms of river Motława you can find the Villa Pica Paca. I associated the name much more with South America but in fact it is a nice flatlet hotel within a typical house of Gdańsk.

If you get to Toruń, Poland from Germany, you will cross the river Wisła on Most drogowy im. Józefa Piłsudskiego – a big metal bridge. Directly at the end of the bridge you have access to the Hotel Bulwar, an absolutely nice design hotel easily reachable by car. It is no simple harbourage for road runners but a wonderful place to stay.

The Hudson Hotel
When I was looking for a hotel in New York City, I had few criteria in mind: it should be (a) close to a subway station, (b) located at the center of Manhattan and it should (c) have a roof terrace because of the hot summer awaiting me. The Hudson is a nice boutique hotel fulfilling these requirements.
