Like in every city visited by many tourists there is also a tourist card for Dubrovnik. It is available in many hotels and also at the tourist offices. You can buy the DubrovnikCard or Dubrovnik Pass for one day, three days or a whole week and it is worth the money. The card is your entrance to the city walls, the Franciscan monastery, the Rector’s Palace and different museums like the maritime museum, the ethnographic museum, the small but good natural history museum and the great museum of modern art.

In the past every pass included a limited number of bus trips. Now you can use public transport during the complete validity period of your card. And if you want to get out of the touristy town they also give you a two-way voucher to the more quiet city Cavtat. Airport transport is not included, as it is operated by a different company. If you climb up to Lovrijenac fortress: the entrance is included in the ticket that you get for the city walls (by showing your DubrovnikCard) – it is a bit strange that they don’t include it directly.
