The Trattoria Olio is a wonderful place in Dallgow-Döberitz, Germany we just found because of the fact that the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. At the outskirts of Berlin
It is already becoming a family tradition: as the history of the family of my wife roots in Berlin, Germany we’re returning here every year in summertime. As there is currently a discussion about away homes going on (because of the lack of available flats in the city) we were staying at the hotel Sperlingshof in Dallgow-Döberitz west of the city. In fact it already belongs to the Havelland in the federal state of Brandenburg.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the outskirts of Berlin, Germany the Sperlingshof in Dallgow-Döberitz might be an option. It is located west of Spandau, 20 kilometers away from the capital cities vibrant city center. Döberitzer Heide
The Döberitzer Heide close to Dallgow-Döberitz, Germany is a 5000 hectares large nature protection area not far away from Berlin. From the year 1713 on it was a military training ground and as it was only closed in 1991 there are still some relicts: old buildings and unexploded bombs. Today the Heinz-Sielmann-Stiftung uses the area to reestablish species like the European bison and Przewalski horses. Continue reading “Döberitzer Heide”
