The Lago di Garda is a wonderful lake in Northern Italy. I was here as a child with the family of a friend of mine for summer vacations and now returned in winter. I was with another friend at Verona – where she was studying for a semester – and went by bus to the eastern shore.

Burano is a small island in the laguna of Venezia, Italy. You can reach it on a boat tour going from the main island to Murano, Burano and Torcello. The island is beautiful because of the houses colored in different colors. It’s like pop art.

Zōjō-ji
The Zōjō-ji is a Buddhist temple in Tōkyō, Japan – next to the Tōkyō Tawā. It was created in the 9th century and was shifted to its current location in 1598. In earlier days 48 subtemples and residential homes for students belonged to it.

The Nezu-jinja is an important Shintō shrine in Tōkyō, Japan and considered as a cultural heritage. It is 1900 years old and the current building dates back to 1705. The halls and gates are preserved very well and are some of the oldest in Japan.
