The Cinque Terre is a 12 kilometers long section of the Italian riviera close to La Spezia, Italy. It is a wonderful place with five villages fitted into a mountain range: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Since 1997 the place is a UNESCO world heritage site and many tourists come here.
I will never forget this place on earth. After I missed the last gas station in La Spezia the road to Cinque Terre was winding through the mountains. While dense fog was reducing my sight the fuel indicator went down and down. With the last drop of gasoline I reached the next gas station at the shore and started to relax again.
