Getting a dress

There seems to be nothing as emotional for a woman during wedding preparation than to get a wedding dress. While I was only visiting my normal men’s outfitter my fiancé decided for a tailor-made dress and with the help of Pinterest and Dawanda she found a friendly tailor in Eppelheim, Germany offering her services under the name “Brautkleider Heidelberg“.

As the maid of honour didn’t have time when the dress had to be finalised we decided to go both to Eppelheim and spent two days at Heidelberg. We had three appointments with the tailor and in between we went shopping at the city center and visited the wonderful castle. We stayed at the NH hotel in Bergheimer Straße and finished the day at Mandy’s Railway Diner.

The next day – after having the fantastic dress ready in our trunk – we went to Schwetzingen and visited the castle and castle gardens including the nice red mosque. After having lunch at the Kurfürstenstube and buying some fresh asparagus we went home. Not the worst way to buy cloth…
