The Schlichte Hof is an ancient guesthouse from the year 1492 at Bielefeld, Germany. Within the half-timbered house you will find a hotel with few rooms and a good restaurant serving traditional dishes of Westphalia. But this place seems to be mostly known for family events and especially wedding parties. The former horse stable offers enough space on two levels for many guests.
The Schlichte Hof is located at the border of the city next to the road 68 to Osnabrück. In fact when staying there the party was in Bielefeld and I slept some meters behind the town sign. 🙂 Next station would be Bielefeld-Brackwede which could be easily accessible on foot – but the foot tunnel is currently closed. A walk to the station is, therefore, a very long walk. Better take a taxi to the main railway station. I came here for the wedding party of two friends – and it was a great event in nice atmosphere.
