Finding a hotel in the South of Berlin, Germany can be quite a problem. I wanted to attend a confirmation ceremony at a church in Lankwitz, but there isn’t any place to sleep. An area full of residential homes far away from the touristy capital. Therefore I booked the nearest hotel at Steglitz, the Hotel Steglitz International.
The hotel isn’t a beauty and located in a strangely shaped building at a crossing of major roads. But therefore it is connected well to the outside world – U9 stops directly next to the building (‘Rathaus Steglitz‘) and takes you to ‘Berlin Zoologischer Garten‘ from where you can easily get to the main station (and the animals in the zoo, of course). The hotel is a four-star hotel, rooms a spacious and my one going to the inner yard was very quite. But it all looks a bit old-fashioned.
