What to do if it is really hot and you’re in a big city like Berlin, Germany? Well, there are some outdoor pools in different parts of the city, but there is also a unique opportunity: in the south of Berlin the river Havel forms a natural bay and along its shore there is a sand beach.
The Strandbad Wannsee offers facilities to make your stay pleasant. In a long stretched building you will find changing rooms and showers. There is also a song showing the deep love of the Berliners towards their beach:

The Strandbad Wannsee has been built from 1907 on and it has a capacity of up to 30.000 visitors. It is devided into normal and nude sections. The usage has decreased intensively over time and it won’t be too crowded if you visit it today.
