There a quite some museums in São Paulo (like the Museu da Imagem e do Som, MIS; or the Museu da Casa brasileira), but because of limited time I only had the possibility to visit two of them: The Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) and the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM). At least the MASP has to be put on your shortlist.
Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP)
The MASP is located directly at the Avenida Paulista. It is situated in a building that is only on the first floor, the ground level is open space. It features Brazilian art.

Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM)
The MAM can be found within Parque do Ibirapuera and is worth a visit, if you go to the park. It is only a small but nice collection of modern art.
