Acquafredda di Maratea belongs to the city of Maratea, Italy. The name means cold water – but when I was there the temperature of the sea was quite acceptable. I stayed at the hotel Villa del Mare for a scientific conference of the European Union.
The hotel is really remote with not much infrastructure surrounding you. But you can take an elevator down to the nice beach – something I’ve never seen before. And it is a place where you can really get addicted to seafood.
