The island of Murano is located in the laguna of Venezia, Italy. It is known mostly for its tradition in producing glass – still today you can see the glassblower working in their small factories. The main channel is called Canale di San Donato and it it is nice to walk along.
5000 people living here work mainly on tourism and glass production, but there are still some fishermen. Their roots ly in refugees coming to this area to search protection.
