It’s a place for shopping and kids entertainment: Karls Erlebnisdorf in Elstal, belonging to Wustermark, Germany is a farming theme park close to federal road 5 leading to Berlin. It is a theme park chain with different locations throughout Germany – but it is worth a visit. The Spreewald (or Błota in Lower Sorbian) is a nice former swamp area where you can hike, ride your bycicle, do canoeing or let yourself be taken around in small traditional ships. If you leave Berlin, Germany via Kladow you won’t recognize that you have left Berlin and entered the federal state of Brandenburg. On small roads you can reach Sacrow, belonging to Potsdam. This place offers a small castle, a wonderful park and directly at the river Havel, the Heilandskirche.

Explore a park with many nice castles
The castle of Sanssouci is one of the best-known castles in Germany and located within the Park Sanssouci of Potsdam, Germany. It belonged to the house of Hohenzollern and the first buildings where created between 1745 and 1747 by the order of Frederick the Great in rococo style. It was extended in 1841 under Frederick William IV of Prussia and since 1990 the castle is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Climb on top of the Jahrtausendturm
The Jahrtausendturm or millenium tower is a wooden tower within the Elbauenpark in Magdeburg, Germany – built for the Bundesgartenschau 1999. It is 60 meters high and you can do two things: first you can walk up the ramps outside of the building. They bring you up close to the peak and you can enjoy 360 degrees of nice views of the area and the city of Magdeburg.
