The Dönche is a large natural reserve south of the city quarter Wilhelmshöhe belonging to Kassel, Germany. It is one of the beautiful parts of the city and used by the locals to go for a walk, enjoy nature and at the right season of the year also to watch animals.
Maybe the best way to visit the Dönche is to go up by tramway 4 to Druseltal and start at the Hutewiesen – an area with wonderful old oaks. From there you can walk all the way down to to the Korbacher Straße. The ride up there is already a nice one as you will see different city quarters you normally won’t get to.
