Next to the watergate

Many people ride their bicycles along the river Fulda – on longer routes throughout Germany or just as a day trip from Kassel to Hann. Münden, Germany. Therefore you will find some eateries, beer gardens and restaurants next to the water. A special beer garden can be found close to the watergate at Wilhelmshausen, belonging to Fuldatal.

There you can sit down under trees and get yourself some coffee, cake, beer or grilled sausages. It all looks a bit improvised and therefore the place has a special atmosphere. There is a small playground, a friendly dog and some beehives. The owner once came here from Alabama and you will hear conversations in English frequently – the guests seem to be pretty international. But also the people from the village get here. Cheap prices, friendly people – absolutely a nice place to relax!
