Most people that know the Indian restaurant Madras Vanakam in Göttingen, Germany seem to know it from ordering food online: it appears in all the online ordering websites. But not so many people seem to visit the restaurant itself and that’s because it is located between a residential zone and a not so beautiful industrial area.
The restaurant has quite a nice guestroom and friendly staff. We came here as part of a shopping trip and we didn’t want to enter the city center to get some food. They don’t have parking lots but you can leave your car somewhere at the street. We ordered some lassi, pakora, chicken in mango and lamb tikka – all tasty. Not the best Indian restaurant in the area but worth a stop!
