Sóller, Spain is a city in the Serra de Tramunata on the island of Mallorca. It is separated from the rest of the island by a mountain chain but can nowadays be reached by car through a long tunnel. But there is also another option: getting there by train.
Using the Ferrocarril de Sóller from Palma de Mallorcas Plaza de España via Bunyola to Sóller is in fact one of the tourist highlights. The trip offers great views and lasts 50 minutes. Queues in Palma de Mallorca are often long and the space is limited – so prepare well.
An alternative is to go to Sóller directly by car and just ride the tranvia down to Port de Sóller. The streetcars start directly at the main railway station and you can purchase tickets on board. It is an easy 15 minutes ride and parking spaces are limited at the harbour.
