Close to Madison Square Park you can find one of New York’s most impressive buildings and it is worth to get there, even if you can merely watch it from the outside. The Flatiron building has a triangular shape and uses all space available at this intersection (which isn’t much).
It is also called Fuller building, has been built in 1902 and its outside is decorated in different historic styles (mainly renaissance). As it is a landmark of New York it has been featured in multiple films and you have already seen it. It is said that the aerodynamic shape of the building leads to strong winds blowing up women’s dresses – so be aware. 😉 Combine your trip here with a visit to the Empire State Building which isn’t to far away.
