The hotel Malalhue in Pucón, Chile is nothing special. It is a nice everyday hotel at the main road of Pucón – a town close to Lago Villarrica. When leaving the hotel there are only other hotels around; and maybe a shopping center for daily needs. Pucón is a town that has been built for relaxation, for canoeing, for canopy.
I had a good time here and what was left in my head is that there are strange animals around: in the dark I recognized small birds running around at the car park without having wings. Another signal for differences and the question why such a bird exists here and not in Europe popped up several times without an answer.
