When I was young I was a member of the Göttinger Paddler Club (GPC) and had a lot of fun with using canoes on the Kiessee in Göttingen and on different rivers. But the best river was the Ardèche in France: not wild water, but something making more fun than a normal river.
We drove the river down with different stops and visited the nice Pont d’Arc – a natural bridge over the river. Afterwards we visited also the wonderful aqueduct Pont du Gard (by that time you could still get on top of it) and the city of Avignon. A nice youth group travel I always like to remember once in a while.
