If you like to stay in the heart of the city, the boutique hotel Les Fleurs at София is a good choice. It is located directly at the boulevard Vitosha and it is conveniently reachable on foot from the Serdika metro station. Since the rise of the shopping centers in Bulgaria this main pedestrian street offers still some shops, but mostly restaurants and coffee bars.
In walking distance you will also find grocery stores and many of the most important places of the city. The Holy Sophia statue, the Banja Bashi mosque, the synagogue and market hall – they’re just some minutes away. Whether you arrive by train or plane, the metro brings you easily to Serdika which is the most important hub in the city. Just walk 500 meters to the South and you’ve reached your away home. The rooms are spacious and quiet; unfortunately I couldn’t test the breakfast as the restaurant was renovated during my stay.
