Vast, that’s the best word describing the Parcul Tineretului, the youth’s park. 94 hectares of land have been dedicated to being the main recreational space of the capital city. It was opened in 1974 and an impressive boulevard for pedestrians lead you into the green starting in the north at the metro stop Tineretului.
The park has a large lake, endless paths for walking, jogging, and cycling. There is a tennis club, a skatepark, a multisport arena, a lot of playgrounds and a small adventure park in the south. Every now and then you’ll discover a coffee bar or a restaurant. Get here if you haven’t moved enough for the day and to see how people were supposed to spend their free time and have fun.
