If you need a bistro or bar in the north of Hamburg, Germany near the airport the BRABAND Bistro & Wein might be your choice – it is located directly at a bridge leading over the Alster. We went there because it was located between our hotel and the Sporthalle Hamburg.
The bistro consist of a small house and an outdoor terrace a bit elevated next to the water. It is nice to sit outside there in nature, have a snack or drink something. The staff did their best but the service felt a bit unorganized. Just bring enough time with you.
