Looking for a hotel in Gdańsk, Poland close to the city center? On an island between the old (stara) and new (nowa) arms of river Motława you can find the Villa Pica Paca. I associated the name much more with South America but in fact it is a nice flatlet hotel within a typical house of Gdańsk.
If I would need a whole week off this would be a good place to stay. Well furnished flats (named after international artists) within a complex of narrow houses. In fact you enter the hotel, walk up two stairs and then you are standing in a long courtyard on second floor. From there the different flats can be reached.
A good and priceworthy hotel, the flats can also be booked only for single nights. And best of all: you only have to walk a few meters to get trough the Brama Zielona (“Koggentor”) into the city center, to Długi Targ and the Fontanna Neptuna.
