The John F. Kennedy International Airport is the most important airport of New York City, United States. It is located in the southeast of New York, 24 km away from Manhattan in a quarter called Jamaica, a part of Queens. The airport has been built in 1942 and handles 53 million passengers a year.
Though the airport is really big, I experienced the procedures quite as fast. You can get to and from the airport by taxi on a flat fare of $52 or elsewise you can use public transport – the AirTrain JFK takes you to Jamaica station and from there you can use the subway to Manhatten (line E takes you to the south of Central park).
