Casa Chueca

Wow. Simply wow. An Austrian couple went to Talca, Chile and bought some land to open a harbourage for travellers. Today there are different courtyards with small houses (named after famous places in South America) attached where you can stay. Every evening a bell calls all current inhabitants for a vegetarian dinner. A very special place that has been built like an ideal settlement and playground.

When being at the Casa Chueca you can find out that there is much to discover: the small hydroelectric power station, the vineyard, the racetrack for go karts, the llama, the horde of white rabbits, the hanging bridges over the river. Getting here is tough if you’re not travelling by car: the last bus stop is located on road K-55 and from there you’ll have to walk for 2 kilometers – if you don’t call the reception.
