The railway station Basel-Badischer Bahnhof is a station in Basel, Switzerland officially belonging to the German railway network. That is why I could reach it with my BahnCard 100 free of charge. I checked in at a small hotel close to the fair grounds and explored the city.
I walked to the city center and the Basler Münster. Afterwards I took a look at the bigger main railway station and floated within river Rhein. The next day I took a look at the wonderful Kunstmuseum Basel and travelled further on to the Fondation Beyeler, located a bit remote. It was one of the reasons to get there because it hosted an exhibition of one of my favorite artists: Jeff Koons. A wonderful city, especially in summer.
