National garden

The national garden in Αθήνα, Greece is a publicly accessible park in the city center close to Syntagma square. It belongs to the old palace now used as a parliament building. It was opened to the public in 1923.

Inside there is a botanical museum, a coffee bar and a library. You can also find archeological items and statues. In 1920 king Alexander was bitten here by his own monkey and died. Today it is a monkey-free place for relaxation.
