The Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta is a church on the island of Torcello belonging to Venezia, Italy. It is located in the so called laguna morta where you don’t recognize the tides anymore.
You can find two churches on the island: Santa Fosca and Santa Maria Assunta. The latter is a beautiful one already from the outside and contains nice frescos.
