SkyTram

The Jasper SkyTram is the highest and longest aerial tramway in Canada, offering visitors breathtaking panoramic views of Jasper National Park from the summit of Whistlers Mountain. The tram ascends to an elevation of 2,263 meters, where visitors can step out onto a scenic boardwalk or hike to the true summit for 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges, glacial valleys, and pristine lakes. The cabins of the tram are rather narrow, the entire system was build in the German city of Saarbrücken.

The SkyTram operates seasonally from spring to fall and provides an unforgettable experience, whether you’re capturing sunrise views, spotting wildlife, or enjoying a picnic above the clouds. Whistlers Mountain, named for the distinctive calls of the marmots that inhabit the area, is a prime destination for hikers and nature lovers. Whether you take the tram or challenge yourself with the Whistlers Summit Trail, the reward is an awe-inspiring perspective of one of Canada’s most beautiful landscapes. The lower station of the SkyTram can be reached by bus or car, sufficient parking lots are available. Tickets need to be booked with a start and a return time – but you can still rebook if capacity allows.
