Gänglesee

The Gänglesee is just a small like in the Rätikon mountain range you can swim in. It is located on a height of 1,300 meters above sea level and at its shore you can have a barbecue or just adore the mountain panorama. In winter times behind the lake ski trails begin making this region of Triesenberg well-visited in summer as well as in winter times.

What is really amazing is the way up. Many visitors just stay at Vaduz to visit the Städle and its museums – but they miss the mountains and the inland of this tiny country. If you jump into bus 21 at the post office of Vaduz it drives steadily up the in slopes; the country changes at becomes more original and after passing through a tunnel the bus stop Steg appears. From there it is only a short walk to the lake (located behind a water reservoir). Busses back down the hill go frequently as well.
