The Potsdamer Platz is a very well-known public space at Berlin, Germany with high buildings and great architecture. Here you can see Berlins first traffic lights and they are still operating (even though the traffic is not directed by it). It is a hub from which you can easily reach many interesting places on a short walk.
In the north you’ll find the Brandenburg gate, in the east the Bundesrat and the Mall of Berlin for shopping. And in the west you can spend lots of time in different art museums. If you’re there give the Caras Gourmet bar directly at the crossing a try – they’ve got good coffee and saved me with cold drinks while the heat was up.
