If you need a long walk through a park and under trees London, United Kingdom offers plenty of options. The green lung of the city is the Hyde Park in combination with the neighboring Kensington Gardens. Together they are even larger than the Principality of Monaco.
The Hyde Park is 1.4 square kilometers large and contains a large artificial lake – the Serpentine – in its center. You’ll find numerous monuments, squirrels and the famous Speakers’ Corner where you can publicly elaborate about everything but the Royal Family. At the southern end you will find the huge Wellington Arch dedicated to the battle of Waterloo. The park is named after Hyde Manor – a mansion once standing here.
