I‘ve never seen the city center of Hann. Münden, Germany crowded like this. Thousands of people were trying to find their way to the farmers‘ market surrounding the church St. Blasius. Every parking lot in and around the city was blocked, cars were also parking along side streets quite far away from the city center. Since some years the Herbst- und Bauernmarkt is one of the main attractions of the town.
People from near and far get here to visit this one day a year market (11am to 6pm) – with around 90 vendors. Restaurants and bars offer food and drinks in tents. Handcrafted toys, decoration items and cloth are sold, you can get pumpkins for decorating your home and buy different vegetables and meat. Children can ride on donkeys, most shops are open, too. Much has been said about the attractivity of Hann. Münden towards tourists; this nice market shows that you can summon a lot of people in the city center – with the right concept!
