Driving around on the island of Mallorca, Spain was really fun. Especially the roads to Cap de Formentor and Sa Calobra were a real adventure and offered great views. There was only one thing that hindered us: large groups of cyclists.
I can understand that cycling on Mallorca is a great pleasure and maybe it is only a problem during semana santa – but the vast amount of bicycles on the road and the riding style of them cyclists was a real threat.
Sometimes I had the feeling of being an accompanying car of the Tour de France. I had to drive really carefully always expecting someone overtaking me on bike on the left and on the right side. Something that made my fiancé a bit crazy – but who would want to miss the wonderful sights of Mallorca because of that?
