Located on an island within the Schweriner See you’ll find Schwerin Palace, a stronghold from the year 1845. It is a designated World Heritage site and always worth a visit – even if it is only for a walk through the wonderful park.
The building has been restructured different times over a thousand years – the first reference goes back to a Slawian castle in 965. The venue includes a small garden with a grotto close to the palace and a big garden which hosted the federal horticulture show of Germany (“Bundesgartenschau”) in 2009.
