The Torre dei Lamberti is probably the best view point for gathering an overview on Verona, Italy. It is located in the city center close to the Piazza delle Erbe and the Piazza dei Signori. It is 84 meters high and therefore higher than anything else in Verona.
It was built from 1172 on and in 1779 the clock on the outside was added. Today tourists can get up for a small fee by using an elevator or taking 368 steps. I prefer the elevator – but the views on the city are also worth climbing up.
