Englischer Garten

The Englischer Garten is a 375 hectares large park in München, Germany – it is one of the largest parks in the world. It’s name refers to the English landscape gardens the park was built after. It is open and used by locals and tourists to relax, have a picnic or to play games.

It dates back to 1789 and the Bavarian soldiers should use their time during peace to work in the garden. Within you can find houses and towers, including the Chinesischer Turm and a Japanese tea house. Get here if you need to relax from sightseeing or to meet friends.
