The cathedral św. Marcina i Mikołaja (St. Martin and Nicholas) is the oldest church of Bydgoszcz, Poland. I came here for the wedding of a Polish colleague and enjoyed the atmosphere in the colorful Roman-Catholic church.
During the ceremony I didn’t even understand a single word – as it was held in Polish. It must have felt the same during the time when the devine service was held in Latin. Maybe that all wasn’t too bad; the laws of marriage provided also in German in written form where pretty “classical” – perhaps I wouldn’t have enjoyed the wedding if I had understood what they were saying.
