I’ve seen many town halls throughout Europe – mostly old and traditional buildings with many decorations. In Tōkyō, Japan everything is different: here the Tōkyō Metropolitan Government Building is a set of very high skyscrapers.
They were finished in 1991, are 243 meters high and have 48 floors. In both buildings you can find a visitors terrace on floor 45 that can be visited free of charge. On days with good weather conditions you can have good views on the vast city.
