Credit card ticket

For years I’ve been buying high prized paper tickets on the London Underground. Mostly because I thought that getting an Oyster card wouldn’t be a good choice for my always short stays in the capital city of England. And I didn’t want to leave too much credit on the card without knowing when I will return.

But today there is a very good alternative if you have a credit card with wireless functionality: you can just swipe your credit card when entering the underground station and when you leave it. Your card will not be charged directly – the system sums up the amount during the day and when you reach the limit for a day ticket you’ll only pay that. And the day ticket price for credit card usage is significantly lower than for paper-based tickets.
