The Ketty at the Bremer Schlagd in Hann. Münden, Germany includes a restaurant, a beer garden and an ice cream parlor. The last piece we hadn’t tried yet was the restaurant located within the old Bremer Handelshaus, which was used for trading of goods directed to the city of Bremen, Germany.
The city of Hann. Münden became rich because of the Stapelrecht, the right to stop all trading ships. All goods passing the city had to be offered in Hann. Münden. Today the Bremer Handelshaus contains the restaurant Ketty which is a good Italian restaurant with a beautiful interior.
The menu ranges from pizza and pasta via scaloppina and gnocchi to grilled salmon. The food was quite salty – as I like it – and very tasty. The sounds from the kitchen tell that there are real Italians at work. From this point of view I can totally recommend the Ketty.
On the other hand we where among the first guests of the restaurant after opening on a friday evening. While the carpaccio arrived quite fast we had to wait too long for the main dish and the bill – all in all we had to spend two hours for a simple dinner. So bring some time or choose another place if you’re in a hurry.
