Botanical garden

The botanical garden of Wrocław, Poland is located close to the cathedral of the town and belongs to the local university. You’ll find many wonderful trees and bushes, greenhouses with succulents and other plants. The most unique element is that an old branch of the river Odra, now separated from it is part of the garden.

The botanical garden is existing since 1811 but it was destroyed to large extent during World War II. Today there are 7.500 difent plants and you can find a memorial of Joseph von Eichendorff, the great German writer, who was living in Wrocław.
